Stewart was born in Montreal, in an elevator during a snowstorm, to an architect Dad and an actress Mom. Some say that this is how he got his discerning sense of shot design and a love of casting people, although none of this even seemed relevant to him. But, working out scenes at the family dinner table for a solid 17 years, definitely left a mark on how he thinks.
He gets a charge out of working with people from all walks of life, not only due to his upbringing, but mostly due to his innate curiosity in hearing their stories and learning about what makes others tick.

Working your way through Cohen’s portfolio of commercials and stills, you are as likely to see heartfelt testimonials as Game Day humour, real people as celebs, with campaigns spanning fashion, kids, sports, wildly diverse storytelling and portraiture...

Cohen's company, SC Pictures, serves major clients including AT&T, Coca-Cola, Four Seasons, and Frito-Lay. He brings a consistent, creative philosophy to his work: telling stories that feel human, authentic, and artfully captured. Perhaps the most startling accomplishment is that each project hits exactly the right note for its intended audience.

Stewart maintains his Canadian passport while living in Dallas, Texas.
