Eli Meir Kaplan is a documentary-inspired lifestyle commercial photographer, director, and camera operator who became interested in visual media after his parents brought home an early black and white video camera when he was four years-old. Eli's first of many videos on the camera was a stop-motion battle between He-Man and Skeletor. A Batman and Robin caper soon followed.

Eli’s longstanding interest in visual storytelling and meeting people from different backgrounds led him to documentary photography. He draws from that experience to capture genuine, spontaneous, and intimate moments and emotionally compelling storytelling in the commercial photography and video production he does today.

Eli is a father of two daughters and former caregiver to three Betta fish. He is based in Washington, DC and New York and has been told that he's fun to work with.
