Butch and Sundance. Lennon and McCartney. Simon and Garfunkel. Even the greatest partnerships evolve. And yet, true to form—and true to the way we’ve done photography for the past 30 years—we’re doing things a little differently.

 

Yes, Michele is semi-retiring. So what does that actually mean? She’s stepping back from the day-to-day bustle and trading some of that time for paddle-boarding, biking, traveling, and simply enjoying life. But she’s certainly not disappearing. She’ll still have her hands in the R&R pie whenever her schedule—and her adventures—allow.

 

So what’s changing?

Starting in January 2026, we’ll be forming two companies:

 

r+r photoactive

This will continue to handle photography and video for our advertising clients. And for those projects where you need both of us—Michele included.

 

R&R Photoactive is also evolving into a broader creative hub offering the production services such as a drone operator, computer animator, graphic artist and a musician.
